We ask the animal if they would like to receive Reiki, and once the Reiki is being offered, we pay attention to how the animal responds to determine that they have agreed to receive the Reiki. We also will accept their choice for how long they desire the session to be. We typically offer treatment with our hands above the animal’s body and/or from a slight distance in the room rather than with our hands placed directly on their body. Many animals prefer hands-off Reiki treatments, as animals tend to be much more sensitive to energy than humans are and it is usually more comfortable for them to have the Reiki Practitioner’s hands above their body or from a slight distance. However, if animal desires hands-on Reiki we will of course offer the Reiki-hands on. Most animals LOVE Reiki and will be very receptive. However, if your animal is resistant to receiving the Reiki treatment then the Reiki Practitioner can do one of the following ·  Practitioner can send distant Reiki to the Animal’s situation ·  OR the session can be transferred to the animal’s human guardian for a mini Reiki-session to be provided at that time. IN HOME SESSIONS W/MULTIPLE ANIMALS PRESENT When an animal client has been scheduled for a Reiki treatment and there are multiple animals present at the time of the session, often the other animals will request to experience the Reiki as well.  The Reiki Practitioner can expand the Reiki treatment and offer the Reiki energy to multiple animals simultaneously. Reiki Support for Animals in Hospice Care and End of Physical Life Transitions

We offer Reiki support for Animals in Hospice Care as well as Reiki support for End of Physical Life Transitions (i.e. Reiki support during euthanasia). This Reiki support is currently offered by donation and can be offered as in-home sessions in the Southern California locations listed above. After 3 sessions of Reiki, 3 years later he is still pain free in his hip and the king of the hill! YAY Bane! Thank you, Reiki! Harlow was helped by Reiki in a very practical way - she had injured herself and was licking and agitated. Combined with traditional veterinarian care, the Reiki helped calm Harlow, allowing her to recover with more ease. Harlow's mom reported "The Reiki definitely worked!" Any pet parent knows, you have an animal recovering, can be a handful just to keep them to the recovery routine and not set themselves back! So, this session gave ease and grace to both dog and mom! Louie the Snake was scheduled for a vet appointment. Reiki helped him through the transportation to the appointment, the vet exam and back again. The vet and techs all commented on that was the calmest they have seen Mr. Louie! Mom reported he was calm through the transports and vet appointment. Bakabon was a recent client and another dog like Harlow that was recovering from an injury. His was a back injury and his mom was concerned about his pain level (even though he was on pain meds). She reported after the session that Bakabon felt better and asked to go for a walk! Which told mom the Reiki session worked!
